NAAB - National Association of Animal Breeders- The purpose of the National Association of Animal Breeders (NAAB) as defined by its By-Laws is "...to unite those individuals and organizations engaged in the artificial insemination of cattle and other livestock into an affiliated federation operating under self-imposed standards of performance and to conduct and promote the mutual interest and ideals of its members." This excerpt portrays the scope and purpose of NAAB, a non-profit organization, established in 1946.
NABR - National Association for Biomedical Research- is the only national, nonprofit organization dedicated solely to advocating sound public policy that recognizes the vital role of humane animal use in biomedical research, higher education and product safety testing.
NAERIC - North American Equine Ranching Information Council- promoting the unique partnership between agriculture and women's health care.
NAHIS - National Animal Health Information System (Australia)- "A not-for profit public Company established by governments and livestock industries" For many years, Australia has enjoyed a reputation for clean, healthy and disease-free agricultural production systems through our natural advantage of geographic isolation. This gave Australian producers an edge in a very competitive international environment.
NAIA - National Animal Interest Alliance- is an association of business, agricultural, scientific, and recreational interest formed to protect and promote humane practices and relationships between people and animals.
NANFA - North American Native Fishes Association- The North American Native Fishes Association, Inc. (NANFA) is a  not-for-profit, tax-exempt corporation dedicated to the appreciation, study and conservation of the continent's native fishes.
NAPCC - National Animal Poison Control Center- The mission of the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA) is to provide effective means for the prevention of cruelty to animals throughout the United States.
NAPPS - National Association of Professional Pet Sitters- A national professional trade association such as the National Association of Professional Pet Sitters provides valuable credibility, networking and education that helps foster success. The National Association of Professional Pet Sitters became a non-profit membership organization in 1993, after being founded in 1989, to promote excellence among pet sitters and to serve as a voice for the expanding industry.
NAS - National Audubon Society- Audubon's mission is to conserve and restore natural ecosystems, focusing on birds, other wildlife, and their habitats for the benefit of humanity and the earth's biological diversity. Our national network of community-based nature centers and chapters, scientific and educational programs, and advocacy on behalf of areas sustaining important bird populations, engage millions of people of all ages and backgrounds in positive conservation experiences.
NASDA - National Association of State Departments of Agriculture- Our mission is to represent the state departments of agriculture in the development, implementation, and communication of sound public policy and programs which support and promote the American agricultural industry, while protecting consumers and the environment.
National 4-H Council- National 4-H Council is the national, private sector non-profit partner of 4-H and the Cooperative Extension System. National 4-H Council manages the National 4-H Conference Center, a full-service conference facility in Chevy Chase, Maryland, and the National 4-H Supply Service, the authorized agent for items bearing the 4-H name and emblem.
NAVCA - North American Veterinary College Administrators- The NAVCA Conference takes place at a different Veterinary College every year. Representatives meet to share information and communicate on various aspects of College, Hospital, and Business Office management. They represent 31 Veterinary Colleges and Schools in the North America. Official NAVCA business is governed by the group's By-Laws.
NAVTA - North American Veterinary Technician Association- "The mission of NAVTA is to represent and promote the profession of veterinary technology. NAVTA provides direction, education, support and coordination for its members, and works with other allied professional organizations for the competent care and humane treatment of animals."
NBA - National Bison Association- The NBA is a non-profit association which promotes the preservation, production and marketing of bison. NBA activities and services serve to better inform and educate our members and the general public about bison.
NBEC - National Board Examination Committee for Veterinary Medicine- The NBVME provides standardized licensing examinations for use by state and provincial licensing boards as part of their licensure procedure for veterinarians. NCBA - National Cattlemen's Beef Association- Initiated in 1898, the National Cattlemen's Beef Association is the marketing organization and trade association for America's one million cattle farmers and ranchers. With offices in Denver, Chicago and Washington, D.C., NCBA is a consumer-focused, producer-directed organization representing the largest segment of the nation's food and fiber industry.
NDHIA - National Dairy Herd Improvement Association- To serve the best interest of National DHIA members and the dairy industry in maintaining a national dairy records program.
NFI - National Fisheries Institute- The National Fisheries Institute is the leading trade association for the fish and seafood industry, and represents a wide spectrum of firms, from small family-owned businesses to large multinational corporations. Our regular members are U.S. firms that operate fishing vessels and aquaculture facilities; which buy and sell, process, pack, import, export and distribute fish and seafood; and which operate retail stores and restaurants. NFU - National Farmers Union- National Farmers Union, officially called the Farmers Educational and Cooperative Union of America, was founded in 1902 in Point, Texas by Newt Gresham. National Farmers Union is a general farm organization with a membership of nearly 300,000 farm and ranch families throughout the United States.
NIAA - National Institute of Animal Agriculture- The National Institute for Animal Agriculture (NIAA) is a new name in animal agriculture, but carries a strong legacy of providing the U.S. livestock industry with a forum to collectively address issues of common interest. The new organization, successor to the Livestock Conservation Institute (LCI), is the result of a progressive process and vision that began in 1996 when LCI Board of Directors commissioned a long-range planning team to landscape an organization that would best serve animal agriculture in the 21st century.
NLPA - National Livestock Producers Association- Following passage of the Packer and Stockyards Act of 1921, the National Livestock Producers Association (NLPA) was founded in direct response to diminishing markets and excessive supplies of livestock. The realization that producers needed to work together to battle marketing problems led to the development of livestock cooperatives nationwide.
NMA - National Meat Association- NMA provides its members - who produce delicious, safe, quality meat - unique one-on-one assistance in resolving regulatory issues.
NMC - National Mastitis Council- The National Mastitis Council is a not-for-profit professional organization devoted to reducing mastitis and enhancing milk quality. The NMC promotes research and provides information to the dairy industry relative to udder health, milking management and milk quality.
NMPF - National Milk Producers Federation- The National Milk Producers Federation (NMPF) is a farm commodity organization representing most of the dairy marketing cooperatives serving this nation. NMPF members market a majority of the milk produced in the U.S., making the NMPF an effective voice on national issues for dairy cooperatives and their dairy farmer members.

North Carolina State University Pre-Vet Club- To stimulate interest in veterinary medicine as a career, to gather students with similar interests and participate in activities and trips pertinent to pre-vet students, and to promote scholarship, fellowship and leadership.
NPPC - National Pork Producers Council- The National Pork Producers Council (NPPC) conducts public policy outreach on behalf of its 44 affiliated state association members - enhancing opportunities for the success of U.S. pork producers and other industry stakeholders by establishing the U.S. pork industry as a consistent and responsible supplier of high quality pork to the domestic and world market.
NSH - National Society for Histotechnology- The National Society for Histotechnology is committed to quality health care by the constant pursuit of excellence, the advancement of histotechnology, and professional representation of the medical community, government agencies, and the public whom we serve.
NTF - National Turkey Federation- The National Turkey Federation is the national advocate for all segments of the turkey industry, providing services and conducting activities which increase demand for its members' products by protecting and enhancing their ability to profitably provide wholesome, high-quality, nutritious products.
NVVTA - North Valley Veterinary Technician Association- The North Valley Veterinary Technician Association was formed on January, 24th 1998. It's purpose is to inform and educate Registered Veterinary Technicians and students in veterinary sciences in Northern California. It is also intended to give us a voice in our profession. We will elect representatives who will speak for us in all state and regulatory matters, including with the Veterinary Medical Board and Board of Examiners of the State of California .
